He relies on his Animus Magic a lot, if his powers were taken away and he was forced to fight there's a 70% chance he'd lose.
Buzzard realized he was an Animus at around the age of four, he kept it secret but casually made himself trinkets with small enchantments. His mother found out about his magic while coming into his room without knocking, finding him muttering to a small ruby earring, telling it to do something that would probably enhance his strength or speed a bit. She immediately went to tell the Queen, dragging him along cautiously. The Queen just so happened to be having a meeting with two quite well known Animus dragons travelling the Continent, RealityBringer of the Nightwings and Vapor of the SeaWings. The Queen is horrified and gives a minor punishment for Buzzards father for bring animus blood to the SkyWings who have a reputation of having a strong dislike for "magic". The SkyWing Queen thinks about some sort of punishment for Buzzard, she sends him off with her visiting Animi who reluctantly take him with them. Buzzard doesn't think of this as a punishment, he gets to travel the whole continent with two of the most well known dragons at that time! It wasn't as fun as he thought, RealityBringer and Vapor's trip were almost done anyway, a quick visit at Jade Mountain Academy before building a hut big enough for the three of them in the Rainforest. The current RainWing monarch, Queen Hyacinth, let them live in their village. Buzzard was extremely bored, the only eccentric thing he did was wipe flower petals and leaves off their balcony after a storm. That was until all the tribes got a message about Jade Mountain Academy opening up again after almost 20 years of being shut down, Buzzard begged to go, Realitybringer gave him a long lecture about how Animus dragons shouldn't be in large groups of unfamiliar and potentially dangerous dragonets. Buzzard doesn't end up going, but sometimes Buzzard and Vapor make small trips to visit the school and trade scrolls.
