Amber[]

“Well, […] I don’t want to sound heartless, but it’s just one dragon, and now we’re one step closer to going home and that’s what’s important. You need to grasp the fact that if me and you and Qibli are to get home, all of the other dragons have to die. And I’ve accepted that because all I care about is getting home with you and Qibli in piece.” - to Topaz
Amber is a female SandWing dragonet and one of four main protagonists of Powerless: A Hunger Games Crossover. Formerly a homeless orphan on the streets on the Sand District, she lives in the Victors Village as one of three SandWing winners of the Hunger Games.

Appearance[]
Amber has pale yellow-orange scales that are abnormally shiny. She has pitch black eyes and wears a black opal necklace hung from a leather cord. She is slender, almost skinny, and is an average height. She has a few pale freckles on her snout and under her wings, and has a very faint scar under her right eye.
Personality[]
Amber is a bit feisty and can be bossy and slightly controlling at times. She is kind-hearted, silly, adventurous, observant, clever, cunning, a real leader, and witty. She is a little hard to get to know, intelligent, quirky, and a bit “everyone for themselves.” She is stubborn, practical, sarcastic, often annoyed, rational, very strategic and organized, and always plans ahead. Amber is quick witted and agile, and greatly enjoys being in charge. She loves being in control of every situation and loved riddles and puzzles. She is untrusting to other dragons and is quite fickle.
Relationships[]
Topaz[]
Topaz, being Amber’s twin, is much like Amber, except is more… chill. He enjoys watching Amber being her true self when she’s in charge of something. He is much like Qibli, and the two are like brothers. He is always supportive of Amber, and is painfully loyal. He and Amber are very close, and grew up together on their own, never knowing who their parents are. Topaz cares greatly for Amber and the two are almost never apart. Together, they can come up with escape plans and heists that kept them alive all those years before they were shoved into the Hungers Games.
Qibli[]
Amber, Topaz, and Qibli grew up together in the Sand District their whole lives. They lived and stole and survived together and they became so close they were almost like siblings. Before the games, Amber admits to herself that she may have a crush on Qibli, but denies her feelings for weeks until the games are over. After the games, Amber tells Qibli that she likes him but the two decide not to do anything because of the fact that they’re victors and will always be on camera. (This relationship only exists in the story Powerless: A Hunger Games Crossover, because of the fact that tribes cannot intermingle, therefor Qibli and Moonwatcher’s relationship does not exist.
Breathtaker[]
When Amber and her friends rescued Breathtaker, Amber never trusted the NightWing, but they did become friends while Breathtaker was recovering from her attack. They chatted about their lives in the Districts and found that they were similar in some ways. Although Amber was extremely angry when Breathtaker stole from them and then ditched them, she felt betrayed because of all the time she and Breathtaker had spent together. She’d felt like she’d known the NightWing for years. Amber does get over her anger and feelings of betrayal but only after Breathtaker gets stabbed through the chest and lays dying.
Warstarter[]
Amber never really knew Warstarter except for the brief time they spent together while he was their captive. Amber had heard Breathtaker talk about him so much, and wanted to ask him about her. She spent the night on watch and quietly talked with Warstarter, getting to know him at least a tiny bit. She described him to Qibli and Topaz as “chill” and lies that she liked him much more than she liked Breathtaker. (Nobody actually believed her.)
Quotes[]
“Topaz, you are a complete blockhead, you fool. WHY DID YOU DO THAT. […] And don’t say you need to protect me. I’m not some damsel in distress that you need to rescue. I’ll hear your plea later.” — to Topaz during the Reaping
”… I’m prepared to jump into a raging battle to make sure you and Topaz don’t get chopped to pieces.” - to Qibli
”We can’t stay here much longer, […] Someone will find us, and we can’t have an incapacitated NightWing on our talons!” — to Topaz and Qibli, about Breathtaker.
“I would suggest we ditch her, but we went to a lot of trouble to save her butt.” — to Topaz and Qibli, about Breathtaker
”Let’s just get this over with, okay? […] We promise not the kill you during the procedure.” — to Breathtaker
”Look, I know what you’re gonna say, so shut up and stop moping! There’s nothing you could have done! Seriously, she’s stubborn as heck.” - to Qibli, about Breathtaker
”Okay, […] Maybe we’ll find her again, and we can go take our stuff back and teach her a lesson, but Topaz is annoying right. We have to get a move on before someone finds us.” — to Qibli
“Rope, […] That can be helpful in many ways. Like tying up annoying NightWings who steal your stuff after you save her life.” — to Qibli and Topaz, about Breathtaker.
