Appreance
The glitter of moonlight on their scales, yet a blank or rather cold expression on their face. Although appearing nothing interesting at first glance, some features might be quite surprising. Like, perhaps, the multicolored pastel scales running down the sides of their body. Switching between a fine pastel pink to a dark pastel purple, these can also be seen on their mint colored upperscales. Not as little teardrop scales but as small stripes on the flat row of scales.
Stars glitter in their big, bright blue eyes, reflecting the starlight surrounding them. A solid pale pastel pink sail runs down the crest of their head before separating into thickly made spines. Straight, silver horns protrude from the back of their head, short and thick at the base. It's hard to tell what is their mainscales and what is their underbelly, for it seems like the coloration is just a few hues lighter than the mainscales.
Really the only way to tell is by the light salmon pink luminous patterns embedded on each plate of their underbelly. That seems to be the only reason. Whisper's wings are narrow and long and more crescent shaped than anything else. pastel pink stars dot the undersides of their wings, much like the typical nightwing, well... somewhat. The membranes remain dark pastel purple, similar in color to some of the teardrop scales.
Their build is stocky, slouched and tall, they seem to keep their head low to not attract attention. Large ears stud both sides of their head, just in front of their horns, the insides are identical in color to their luminous patterns. Whisper's legs are blanketed in a thin layer of fat, a thickish tail protrude from behind their legs. although there isn't anything very interesting to talk about it, just that it is there.
Softly curved talons remain slightly webbed from seawing genes, and the talons themselves remain silver in color. their mainscales come out in big rows of softly rounded scale plates remaining a soft hue of blue. Whisper is certainly an enigmatic being in appearance and perhaps in personality as well. one could say, they're one of a kind.
Personality
Whisper: to speak without using your vocal cords; speaking quietly usually used for the sake of privacy.
one would expect me to say that this is the key definition of this character. well, in a way yes, but in other ways... no. whisper got their name for their quiet, reclusive personality. in other words, they're quite known for their lack of socializing or even speaking.. not just quiet, but they also seem to be quite introverted and cold if not completely emotionless.
they're quite the oddity and due to their lack of speech, it's hard to completely understand their strange ways. Whisper seems to be an incredibly skilled inventor, from all the time they spend alone, it is expected. Perhaps you're expecting that because of all that alone time, they'd be lonely but they just don't want to admit it.
wrong. They love being alone. no one to mess up their inventions, no one to force them into socializing, no one at all to annoy them or keep them company. and they're fine with that, they were always fine with that.
as mentioned, they're not much of a talker, they're more into doing things rather than just talking about them. Whisper isn't one to just stand around and let someone else do the work, they want to do something about it, set them straight. less talking, more doing kind of guy is what they are. if you couldn't tell, the hybrid is a hardcore introvert, probably why they take residence in the mountains far away from society, their overworked father and sisters.
being easily drained socially seems to be one of their greatest weaknesses, they can't and most likely won't talk longer than they need to and even socializing with others can be difficult for them. they might be a grand inventor of confusing contraptions, but they aren't very good at something called socializing. even with a lack of speaking face to face with others, whisper still remains friendly to the public eye and maybe just a bit cold.
yet, despite their introverted tendencies and how they're so easy to drain socially, Whisper is incredibly patient, almost to an uneasy point that they're almost impossible to annoy. they believe patience is a virtue and should therefore be spent well. for you get nowhere if you're easy to anger and impatient all the time. that's probably what has made them such a skillful inventor, even when things break all the time, they'll just fix them again.
the hybrid remains incredibly creative, which works well with their patience when it comes to building things. all it takes is for one idea to come into their mind and then they make that dream of theirs a reality. it seems building things has become an obsession of theirs, for inventing has become a major part of their life.
Whisper hates when others think that they are a mistake, the whole concept makes them cringe, it just seems so cliched nowadays. even the reassuring "no you aren't" sounds cliched too, which is the real reason they never would even dream of saying that. cliches are dead and they'll never associate themself with them, as it would probably ruin their whole original way of life. rambling about being a mistake really is the only thing that makes them get impatient and have a need to kick them out of their house because of how annoying and untrue it is.
they find that nothing cuts the flesh like words and with that, they make sure to not say the wrong thing, in which they never have, everything they say seems to be worded perfectly. since whisper does put a lot of consideration into what they say, thinking before they speak, one may say. though they don't let others hurt them through words, although they usually don't show, but you can feel that they're hurt internally. sensitive, something they most certainly can be, along with judgemental. simply mispronouncing something might end with them lecturing you about it.
Biography
even from the start, Whisper was born the son of the current mayor of echo's peak, they were always put in the spotlight as one of the most important figures of the village. but they like... didn't like that because they were always an introvert. went to school, but was always treated like royalty and he was rained with attention by other dragons. annoying... became interested in robotics and overall inventing things with their own talons. - originally was going to be another one of those cuddly, kind characters, but i decided not to, since i've created too many of those kind of characters.

Relationships
please roleplay beforehand
Father:although they limit their interactions with their father, they do come and visit him now and then, just to check in on how he's handling the stress of holding the world on his shoulders. whisper might help him sometimes, not often since they usually visit during the day, which is usually when they're supposed to be sleeping. nevertheless, they feel obligated to help their father carry the entire world on his shoulders, he's their father after all. though they wouldn't admit it, they do love him and wish they could visit more often and just talk to him.
then again, their sleep schedule prevents them from doing so, since their father is obviously asleep during the nights and they don't feel like bothering him too often. during their younger years, whisper used to spend all their time with him, enjoying every moment before everything changed. they became a little bit more empty and distant every year until it overcame them and they left their father. then again, they always come back as mentioned, hiding their affection for him beneath layers of other emotions.
Abilities
not strong, not weak, somewhere in between. even then, they are capable of incredible builds,especially that of huge inventions that they wordlessly build all night long. although they don't seem to have that much in the way of abilities, mostly their abilities range from knowledge to determination to good craftsmanship. they did, however, gain the ability to see in the dark from their nightwing side, that is the only thing they're capable of in regards to tribe. being nocturnal, this night-vision really helps them out.
whisper is renown for building things that most never thought were capable of being built, things that staggered the imaginations they'd sometimes say. this relates back to the roots of their incredible patience and creativity, both of these seem just about endless. it's almost seemingly impossible for them to grow impatient or restless, it is simply astounding how patient this dragon is.
expansive knowledge of the stars and astronomy is quite an impressive feat for whisper. of course, they study the stars and the moons themselves now and then. before writing it all down in a journal they have, all their studies, just to leave a mark on the world when they do go. though they probably don't know as much as anyone else in the world, whisper still knows an impressive amount about astronomy. they don't seem to be capable of forgetting the most important information, even if they don't write it up somewhere. whisper never forgets it.
