headcanon moment !! tw: diseases, growth in the neck

seawings, ESPECIALLY those who spend lots of time underwater and don’t move around a lot, are very prone as they get older to a disease where many types of a sort of algae and barnacle gill infection. the plants and barnacles grow in the cracks of the gills and can severely damage the neck and spine if it gets even more intense. but luckily it can be treated easily if action it’s taken immediately. this is what i think abalone died from.

silkwings require constant nutrition to keep the silk that they produce healthy, thick, shiny, and rich, the silkwings who are more malnourished and/or sickly produce less valuable silk that can be thin, faded, and weak.

sandwings are famed for their skill with spices and seasonings such as turmeric, cinnamon, starinese, pepper, coriander, paprika, cilantro, and more. they arguably make the best chefs and cook the tastiest meats.

nightwings have so many intricate, detailed maps of different constellations, nebulas, stars, planets, and other galaxy-related charts that if you could combine them all together, they could span from one side of the continent to the opposite side.
