Hello everyone, and happy pride month! We hope you’ve all been doing well and enjoying the warmer weather. We have quite a few announcements and reminders we’d like to review, so let’s get into it!

Batch Delete Reminder

The next batch delete is on July 1st, 2024. Mark your calendars! Be sure to take a look at our Batch Delete Policy if you need more information about what happens during our routine page cleanup.

Moderation Team Updates

Snowglyphss has stepped down from his position as bureaucrat, and SunsetTheSkyWing0w0 has stepped down from their position as content moderator. We thank them for all their hard work on the wiki and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors!

Skittle1923 has been promoted to thread moderator.

Fish-theWizard has been selected as a thread apprentice, and Linkzac1 has been selected as a content apprentice.

As always, we are still accepting new apprentices! Please take a look at the Apprenticeship Program section of our moderation page before submitting an application via this Google Form. In particular, we highly encourage any interested users to apply for the content apprentice position!

Discussions Updates

After receiving some user feedback, we’ve reorganized the Discussions board into the following categories:

• General

• Announcements

• Creativity

• Characters & Fanfics

• Contests & Trades (previously “Contests, Requests, and Games”)

• Roleplaying

• Wiki Suggestions (previously “Wiki Improvement”)

• Wiki Support

The “Announcements” category combines our previous “News and Announcements” and “Promotions and Demotions” categories. Additionally, the new “Characters & Fanfics” category is specifically for the discussion of OCs and fanfictions, while “Creativity” will remain a place for users to post their artwork.

Our “Contests & Trades” category will no longer include forum games, as they are a mostly obsolete feature that don’t require a dedicated board. Users who still wish to participate in forum games may do so in the “General” category instead.

Timeline Template

Thanks to Himmalerin’s hard work, we now have an official timeline template for the wiki! You can see an example of it in action here.

Wiki Mascot Voting

We’re excited to announce that we’re planning to introduce a group of brand-new mascots for our wiki—but most importantly, we need your help to make this happen! Over the next few months, we’ll be hosting a series of contests and votes to create the following:

• Pantalan AllWing mascot

• Decabrid/true AllWing mascot

• AviWing mascot

• CentiWing mascot

• DeathWing mascot

• DriftWing mascot

• LightWing mascot

• MortarWing mascot

• TempestWing mascot

Keep an eye out for the Pantalan AllWing voting thread next week, where your choices will determine the mascot’s appearance and abilities!

Official WoF Merch

Wings of Fire Plush Danglers, designed by our very own Wings-of-Bloodfire, will be available at Target stores in the U.S. starting this summer! You can check out the official Instagram announcement here.

Additional Reminders

We’d like to take this time to remind everyone that in accordance with our Mature Content Policy, references to external media containing frequent or graphic sexual content (such as Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss) are not permitted on our wiki. This includes references in the form of profile pictures, external links, or direct character inspiration. If you’re unsure about whether or not specific media is considered too mature for the wiki, you’re always welcome to ask a moderator!

Additionally, we’d also like to note that there is a significant difference between tracing and referencing artwork. If you believe that artwork on the wiki has been traced or heavily referenced, please reach out to a moderator instead of dogpiling the user in question.
